Le Comité a adopté des « observations finales » sur les rapports présentés par dix pays examinés au titre de la Convention et de ses deux Protocoles.

Le Comité des droits de l’enfant a tenu, du 13 septembre au 1er octobre 2010, sa 55e session, et rendu publiques ses observations finales concernant les 18 rapports présentés par dix pays qu’il a examinés durant ces trois semaines de session au titre de la Convention relative aux droits de l’enfant et des deux Protocoles facultatifs s’y rapportant.

Sur un total de 18 rapports examinés au cours de la session,

      -.  huit ont été présentés au titre de la Convention relative aux droits de l’enfant par le Guatemala, l’Angola, l’Espagne, le Burundi, le Monténégro, le Soudan, Sri Lanka et le Nicaragua;

      -. six ont été présentés au titre du Protocole facultatif sur l’implication d’enfants dans les conflits armés par la Sierra Leone, la Bosnie-Herzégovine, le Monténégro, le Soudan, Sri Lanka et le Nicaragua;

      -. quatre ont été présentés au titre du Protocole facultatif concernant la vente d’enfants, la prostitution des enfants et la pornographie mettant en scène des enfants, par la Sierra Leone, la Bosnie-Herzégovine, le Monténégro et le Nicaragua.

 Lors de sa prochaine session, qui se tiendra à Genève du 17 janvier au 4 février 2011, le Comité doit examiner 12 rapports, à savoir : ceux du Danemark, de l’Afghanistan, du Belarus, de la République démocratique populaire lao, de la Nouvelle-Zélande, de l’Ukraine et de Singapour, au titre de la Convention; ceux du Belarus et du Mexique au titre du Protocole facultatif concernant la vente d’enfants, la prostitution des enfants et la pornographie mettant en scène des enfants; et ceux du Belarus, du Mexique et de l’Ukraine au titre du Protocole facultatif concernant l’implication d’enfants dans des conflits armés.
