European employers & unions together for Gender Equality. On 7 May the European social partners launched a new project, a “Toolkit for Gender Equality in Practice”.
Following their previous commitment to contribute to “enhance gender equality on the labour market and in the workplace”, BusinessEurope, CEEP, UEAPME and the ETUC decided to create an interactive tool on the internet.
That way, they integrate their “Framework of Actions on Gender Equality”, which is focused on four priorities: addressing gender roles, promoting women in decision-making, supporting work-life balance and tackling the gender pay gap. In fact, the toolkit for « gender equality in practice » is a project which aims at taking stock of the concrete examples of the implementation of the Framework of Actions on Gender equality at the work place.
The launching event of the 7 May in Madrid was also the occasion for national social partners to present and explain challenges encountered on gender equality and to debate on possible solutions.
