Some details have been revealed by British authorities Wednesday- including Scotland Yard and the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS)- of how they believe the Novichok poisonings in Salisbury were carried out. According to British prosecutors, there is “sufficient evidence” to charge two Russian nationals over UK Novichok nerve agent attack: two men, using the names Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov. Prime Minister Theresa May revealed that the latters are thought to be officers from Russia’s military intelligence service (GRU). According to Russian authorities Scotland Yard and Moscow are not cooperating enough in the Skripal investigation. Furthermore, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova is “calling on the U.K. to move away from public accusations and informational manipulations, and toward practical cooperation between law enforcement agencies”. The UK will meet the UN security council to discuss the case on Thursday. Mrs May also said Britain would push for the EU to agree new sanctions against Russia.
